��ϳԹ�� is providing upgrades to the iconic Beverly Hilton hotel, including the reception and concierge areas, lobby, dining space, retail space, event lounge and arcade, International Ballroom, Beverly Ballroom, Wilshire Ballroom, restrooms, new stairs and back-of-house rooms, pre-function space, and meeting rooms. All work is taking place while the building remains occupied.

Market Street Place / 6X6

New construction of a 375,000 SF urban retail center with two levels of below-grade parking and six stories of restaurants and shops above ground. The building features 29,000 SF of glass frontage on Market Street, the central atrium section of which is cable-supported for maximum transparency; while the interior offers tall ceilings and large floor plates of up to 40,000 SF, all which create an ideal mix of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.

ACT Strand Theater

��ϳԹ�� transformed a 1917 vaudeville house known as “The Jewel” into a 300-seat venue for the American Conservatory Theater (ACT). In order to adapt the historic, four-story reinforced concrete and steel building into a modern performance venue, many alterations and upgrades were necessary, including a full seismic upgrade to the structure, restoration of the main facade on Market Street, and underpinning and excavation to add square footage. The building’s complete interior remodel provided a live performance theater, box office, lobby, bar/cafe, green room, office space, and flexible space for rehearsals and gatherings. The project achieved LEED Silver certification.

Marin County Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium

��ϳԹ�� performed the voluntary seismic retrofit for the following scope of work: strengthening of the theater stage roof diaphragm, strengthening of the stage walls; bracing the suspended control room; and bracing the plaster ceilings. The team also provided demolition and abatement, reroofed the stage, and completed code-required accessibility upgrades.

Lorenzo Theater

This project included the preparation for tenant improvements of the existing Lorenzo Theater building, a California Historic Landmark originally built in 1947. The scope of work included seismic strengthening with new steel trusses, restoration of existing base finishes and character-defining features damaged by a large fire, new mechanical and electrical systems, accessibility upgrades, and self-performed specialty shoring for the restoration of the iconic jungle-themed murals, which glow under blacklight. The project achieved LEED Silver certification.

��ϳԹ�� is excited to continue its work with the Lorenzo Theater on a new phase of interior reconstruction focused on reconstructing multi-tier seating in the bowl and balcony, accessibility improvements, full MEPF systems, and restoration of key exterior features, including the Marquee, tower sign, and ticket booth.

Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center

New construction of a 34,000 SF, 500-seat performance theater located in historic downtown Livermore, California. The theater is designed as a production house intended primarily for local performances, but also serves as a venue for conferences, seminars, corporate meetings, and public events. A park plaza, constructed adjacent to the theater, functions as an informal meeting space and outdoor performance and event area.

Regency Ballroom

��ϳԹ�� provided interior renovations of this 115-year-old, multi-use events venue in downtown San Francisco. The scope of work consisted of new dressing room/lounge; all public restrooms; ADA upgrades (new lifts, compliant staircases, and ramps); and HVAC and plumbing for new spaces.

Meals on Wheels SF

Meals on Wheels is a new, two-story, 36,800 SF facility containing a new commercial high production kitchen, cold storage, warehouse, loading docks, logistics and office space. At the heart of the project is the 22,000 SF high-tech production kitchen for bulk meal production.

Ferry Building

Built in 1898, the Ferry Building has long been a symbol of San Francisco’s historic waterfront. In 1998, a public/private redevelopment partnership was formed to rehabilitate the space, and ��ϳԹ�� was chosen as the general contractor. The extensive renovation of the historic structure included the removal of portions of the original second floor structure and all of the modern-era third floor structure in the nave space to create a dramatic, three-story atrium along the entire length of the building.

In 2003, the project was completed and the Ferry Building returned as a bustling destination for San Francisco residents and visitors. The vibrant interior marketplace attracts over one million visitors annually, and the second and third floor offices are 100% leased to premier tenants.

Walt Disney Family Museum

��ϳԹ�� balanced rehabilitation of the historic former barracks on the main parade ground of the Presidio with the need to develop a visitor-friendly layout and infrastructure for multimedia programming around Walt Disney’s life and work. Construction involved three historic buildings and adhered to federal historic preservation standards. Work included a glass atrium gallery, restoring the original brick facades, and extensively excavating and underpinning to a depth of 35 feet below grade to create an underground theater and sub-basement. The building’s structural systems were upgraded with a variety of seismic connections interwoven with shotcrete.
